Thank you for visiting my website .
I represent the residents of the Central Ward, Mount Barker, in my capacity as Councillor for the ward. I am a staunch independent Councillor and am not aligned to any major political party.
I was elected to Council in 2010 with a deep concern about and inspired by the community response to the State Government rezoning of 1310ha of farmland.
My main focus on council has been to deliver best possible environmental outcomes, energy efficient housing that is truly ‘affordable’ over the long term, recreation and sporting facilities adequate to growth, and improved public consultation.
In 2010, after 3 years of full time study I was awarded Bachelor of Environmental Management with 2 High Distinctions, 9 Distinctions and 8 Credits. Elected to and currently serving on the local Development Assessment Panel, MDB NRM Council Advisory Group and AHFM committee and an active volunteer with 9 community organisations including life membership of Mt. Barker & District Residents’ Association.
Our family has bred Angus cattle at Mount Barker Springs since 1978. If re-elected I will strive for fair, transparent council and will work hard to represent you.
